<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card with a display function preventing an unintended depressing of a button by omitting the button on a card surface, facilitating the manufacture and having high flexibility in the design. <P>SOLUTION: The IC card with a display function comprising a display 3 and a control unit 21 includes, in an IC card body 2, a switch part 10 that includes a piezoelectric element 31, a rectification circuit 33, a capacitor 35, and a voltage monitoring circuit 37. When bending and vibration is applied to the IC card, the piezoelectric element 31 in the switch part 10 to which a force is applied generates an AC voltage. The AC voltage is rectified by the rectification circuit 33 and stored in the capacitor 35. When the voltage monitoring circuit 37 detects that the amount of the stored power of the capacitor 35 becomes a predetermined threshold or more, the voltage monitoring circuit 37 transmits a signal for starting up the control unit 21 to the control unit 21.
