<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding device simple in structure by which a sheet can be folded at an accurate folding position. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet folding device includes a folding roller 41 and a folding roller 49 for forming a folding line on the sheet. The folding roller 41 is disposed at a position where the sheet is transported on the transport route while the folding roller 49 is disposed downstream and below the folding roller 41 on the transport route. Furthermore, a driven roller 53a which moves downward to the operation position near the nip position of the sheet with which the peripheral faces of the folding-roller pair 41 and 49 contact so as to contact with the peripheral face of the folding roller 41 when creasing the sheet is additionally provided. Thus, the sheet is guided to the nip of the folding rollers 41 and 49 by the contact of the roller 49 with the driven roller 53a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
