<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, in a measurement of the dimension of car body components with relatively large areas, it is difficult to discriminate between bending by a dead weight and strain by a manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: The method for measuring the dimension includes steps for: fixing a car body component to a fixture at a predetermined mounting point; measuring the dimension of the predetermined part of the car body component as a dimension before a transposition; vertically inversely transposing the car body component, with the fixture fixed to the car body component; measuring the dimension of the predetermined part as the dimension after the transposition; and calculating the dimension without being affected by the dead weight based on a difference between the dimension before the transposition and the dimension after the transposition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
