<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening tool, which is capable of taking a shopping bag stacked in a closed manner, opening the shopping bag by the simple opening tool and holding the open state, and allowing purchased articles to be put therein one after another. <P>SOLUTION: The bag opening tool includes: an introducing part obtained by molding a plastic sheet having resilience and formed at the center; and an expansion part also serving as a grip formed in a length equal to or more than a half circumference of an opening of the bag to the right and left from the introducing part. In another embodiment, the bag opening tool includes: an introducing part obtained by molding a plastic sheet having resilience and formed at the center; an expansion part formed in a length equal to or more than a half circumference of an opening of the bag to the right and left from the introducing part; and a grip formed at an end thereof. The shape is simple and it is expensive, easy to handle, and can hold a shopping bag in the opening state more easily.
