In order to provide a domestic appliance apparatus with improved properties in respect of energy efficiency, the invention proposes that the control unit (12) be provided for the purpose of assigning at least a second power (18) for operating the energy consumer (20), which second power differs from the first power (18), to the first selection stage (S2-S17) of the selection means (16) in at least one further operating mode (22, 24, 26, 28) and/or be provided for the purpose of assigning selection stages (S2-S17) which differ from the first operating mode (14) to the selection means (16).
