New fluorine sulfide phosphor compounds useful in white light emitting diode

Fluorine sulfide phosphor compounds (I) are new. Fluorine sulfide phosphor compounds of formula ((A 1 - x - yCe xB1 y)SF) (I) are new. A, B1 : trivalent metal ions different from cerium; x : greater than 0 to >= 0.1; and y : 0-1. Independent claims are included for: (1) a white light emitting diode comprising a blue phosphor, a green phosphor and a red phosphor; and (2) the preparation of (I).
