<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared communication device and a field apparatus in which the work related to infrared communication can be completed in a short time by enhancing the workability of a worker. <P>SOLUTION: An infrared adapter 2b comprises an infrared light receiving and emitting unit 21 which emits infrared light toward an external field apparatus, and a laser light-emitting unit 22 which emits laser light in the infrared light emitting direction. The infrared adapter 2b is connected with a portable terminal such as a notebook personal computer by a connection cable 2c in order to perform infrared communication with an external field apparatus. A field apparatus performing infrared communication with the infrared adapter 2b is provided, on the periphery of a light receiving unit receiving infrared light from the infrared adapter 2b, with an indication unit which emits fluorescent light by laser light irradiation from the infrared adapter 2b or reflects laser light from the infrared adapter 2b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
