<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recommend a web content that matches the taste of a viewer among web contents related to a program content. <P>SOLUTION: A recommendation system includes: a set top box (STB) 20 for storing a profile which includes the history of a viewer concerning the browsing of web contents and indicates the taste tendency of the viewer, and generating recommendation information to recommend to the viewer the web content which is extracted in accordance with the profile from the web contents related to a program content; a portable terminal 40 for displaying the recommendation information and receiving an operation input for the web content to be selected by the viewer from the displayed information; and a communication service server 50 for storing a browsing history with respect to the web content recommended based on the recommendation information.
