<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of substantially removing moisture on photosensitive drums and peripheral members before starting a printing operation under high-temperature and high-humidity environment or dew-condensation environment. <P>SOLUTION: When being started up from a power-off state or a sleep (energy-saving) mode to a printing start state, the image forming apparatus can perform a moisture removing mode sequentially executing: a first moisture removing step for removing the moisture from the surfaces of photosensitive drums 1a-1d with a cleaning blade 9; a second moisture removing step for conveying a toner on a developing roller 29 in developing devices 3a-3d to the side of the photosensitive drums 1a-1d, causing the toner conveyed to the side of the photosensitive drums 1a-1d to adsorb the moisture on the photosensitive drums 1a-1d, and removing the moisture on the surfaces of the photosensitive drums 1a-1d along with the toner; and a third moisture removing step for applying a voltage to a charging roller 21 and removing the moisture on the surfaces of the charging roller 21 and the photosensitive drums 1a-1d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
