Ceramic/plastics paint dielectric compositions for electric capacitors (see Group XXXVI) comprise barium titanate with polyvinyl acetal or polyvinyl formal and solvents or plasticizers selected from dibutyl phthalate, methyl-ethyl ketone, diacetone alcohol and trichloroethylene.ALSO:A ceramic/thermoplastics paint film for use in electric capacitors (see Group XXXVI) is coated on a metal or glass support by one or more dippings of the support in the paint mixture and withdrawing slowly at a steady rate, e.g. 0.14 cms/sec. and the one or each successive coat is dried in air to a non-tacky condition and then baked.
