<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a recording medium such as a BD, in which a stream of a Base view video and a stream of a Dependent view video obtained by encoding by an H.264 AVC/MVC are recorded, to be reproduced even in a device which does not support 3D reproduction. <P>SOLUTION: An Access Unit storing a Base view video is forbidden to have an encoded MVC header. A view component stored by the Access Unit having no MVC header is defined so that its view_id is recognized to be 0. The Access Unit #1 whose set view_id is recognized to be 0 is decoded, and next the Access Unit #2 whose set view_id is recognized to be Y is decoded.
