The valve (11) has valve housing (14) and a valve element (13). The valve element is partially arranged in valve housing, and is provided with mixing chamber (35) for mixing and discharge of injection medium with pressurized air. The valve housing and valve element are formed such that the valve element is movable relative to valve housing between closed and open positions. The injection medium is supplied from mixing chamber when valve element is in first position, and the pressurized air is spread over the valve housing when valve element is in second position. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) spray gun; and (2) method for operating valve.
