A chain drive comprises a drive sprocket, a shaft of pedals, a rear-wheel hub assembly mounted on a fixed axle together with a mechanism of overrunning clutch and brake, a slave sprocket and a chain for embracing these sprockets. In addition, the drive is equipped with a second stage of chain drive that comprises the second drive sprocket, which is immovably secured on the outer surface of the hub sleeve on the side of brake lever, the second driven sprocket, which is immovably secured on the secondary axle, and a chain for embracing additional sprockets. The additional axle is made with possibility of free rotation around its axis with traction the wheels of vehicle. |
