The device has a camera (11) for recording an image of a first detection region of passing vehicles (4) and holding the image of vehicle passages with a first time stamp. An evaluation device (17) is connected to camera and sensors (7, 9) to calculate location and time from a speed measuring value, a second time stamp (TS1), a second detection region (8), a geometry measuring value (L), a third time stamp and a third detection region. The passages at the first region are evaluated at and/or to the location to determine the image passed based on the first time stamp and first region. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling vehicles. |
