A method for resource and admission control in the pull mode is provided, the method includes: a resource and admission control platform of the retail service provider makes a quality of service source authorisation decision on a resource request, according to the customer subscription information and policy rule of the retail service provider, after receiving the resource request sent by an application functional entity. If the resource and admission control platform of the retail service provider accepts the resource request then it sends the resource request to a resource and admission control platform of the wholesale service provider. The resource and admission control platform of the wholesale service provider performs a quality of service source authorisation decision, and sends the result of the quality of service source authorisation decision to the resource and admission control platform of the retail service provider. The resource and admission control platform of the retail service provider sends the received result of the quality of service source authorisation decision to the application function entity. Also, a system for resource and admission control in the pull mode is provided. The method and the system solves the problem that the resource and admission control mode in the pull mode is not completed in the prior art. |
