A method for the differential treatment of the patients with polycystic ovary syndrome comprises the genetic analysis of gene polymorphism. When the burdened homozygous state of CYP19 polymorphisms rs12907866, rs2414096 and rs4646 is absent, Letrosol is used at a daily dose of 2.5 mg throughout days 3-7 of the menstrual cycle. When ovulation in further cycle is absent, the dose of the drug is doubled.
