Method and device for emptying containers

The method involves providing two containers (18) to be emptied. The two containers are arranged in an emptying station (20). The containers are connected with a common distributor and aeration system (22). One of the containers is emptied while the other container is processed for emptying. A material conveyed during aeration is conveyed back into one of the containers. The two containers are emptied by gravitational force of the material. A pump (24) is used for further transport of the material from the containers. An independent claim is also included for an emptying station.
