The method comprises constructing a flowmeter assembly including one or more flow tubes configured to be vibrated, with the method being characterized by coating at least a portion of the flowmeter assembly with a diffusion coating, with the diffusion coating being diffused into and comprising a part of the flowmeter assembly.
