<p>A generator assembly 10 suitable for being carried on the back of a human 150 comprises an engine 17 , an alternator 11, a shaft assembly 100 for driving said alternator, and a pair of straps 24. The straps are suitable for passing around a shoulder of the human, each strap having a longitudinal axis, where one or more shafts 12, 16 of the shaft assembly are substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of said strap. A flexible composite material may also be provided, for housing internal components of a generator, the material further comprising openings for permitting control/display components of the generator to be manipulated/viewed by a user, the flexible composite material having two or more layers, each layer having one or more sound deadening properties and/or ballistic properties and/or waterproofing properties. A frame 19 may also be provided for having mounted thereon an engine, which further comprises a wheel assembly comprising one or more wheels 22a, 22b mounted on a first end portion, and a handle (21a, fig 1A) mounted on a second end portion.</p> |
