<p>A treadmill including a buffer board which is mounted beneath a running belt 51 wherein the buffer board comprises a plate 1 of crosswise knitted woven bamboo strips attached to an endurable slide plate 2. Layered longitudinal and transverse bamboo strips 3 may be used as an alternative or in combination with the woven bamboo plate. These bamboo strips may be used to form a laminated board.
