PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for controlling electronic devices using the same are provided to recognize and control electronic devices using a specific program. CONSTITUTION: A camera(121) obtains image information by photographing external electronic device. A display unit(151) displays the image information. A control unit(180) recognizes the electronic device by using the detected electronic device information from the image information. The control unit controls the search the electronic device control program and controls the operation of the electronic device.
