METHOD FOR ASSESSING EFFICACY OF ISOSORBID MONONITRATE IN TREATING ISCHEMIC HEART DISEASE WITH ANGINA PECTORIS AND ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION WITH IMPAIRMENT OF DIASTOLIC FUNCTION OF LEFT VENTRICLE ACCORDING TO HYPERTROPHIC TYPE

A method for assessing the efficacy of isosorbid mononitrate in treating the ischemic heart disease with angina pectoris and arterial hypertension with the impairment of the diastolic function of the left ventricle according to hypertrophic type provides for the comparison of the state of patient prior to and after the treatment. Prior to the treatment with isosorbid mononitrate, Dopplerechocardiography is performed at rest and the transmitral blood flow is measured based on the rate of the early diastolic filling. The analogous procedures are performed after the treatment with isosorbid mononitrate. If the rate of the early diastolic filling in the left ventricle increases by at least 7.9 % as compared with that prior to the treatment, the hemodynamic result and the antianginal effect are considered as the positive ones.
