PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for detecting errors are provided to reduce manufacturing costs and EMC noise by parallely arranging all light emitting device strings. CONSTITUTION: An error detection apparatus(100) comprises a current control unit(120), one or more first light emitting device strings(130), and one or more second light emitting device strings(140). The error detection apparatus comprises one or more first error detection units(150), one or more second error detection units(160), and an error result determining unit(170). The error detection apparatus detects errors from a light emitting device arrayed in a plurality of light emitting device strings. The error detection apparatus cuts off a power source for all light emitting devices when a part of the light emitting device has the errors. |
