The present invention relates to H5 protein of influenza virus, wherein the H5 protein having the amino acid 223N and the modification 328K+, wherein the modification 328K+ means that at amino acid position 328 of H5 protein a second Lysine (K+) is inserted, to nucleic acid molecule, vector and a method for producing the H5 protein. The invention also relates to a vaccine comprising the H5 protein, a method for producing the vaccine, the use of the H5 protein as medicinal agent for prevention and treatment of infection caused by influenza virus.
