METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF BRONCHIAL ASTHMA AND OBSTRUCTIVE BRONCHITIS IN CHILDREN

A method for the differential diagnosis of bronchial asthma and obstructive bronchitis in the children provides for defining "obstruction formula" including the onset, the duration and the repeatability of the episodes of bronchoobstructive syndrome with or without the acute respiratory viral infection taking into account the relative criteria of the bronchial asthma such as the hereditary predisposition to allergy, the atopic status, the factors of ante- and postnatal sensitization. In addition, the levels of the cytokines of T-helpers of types 1 and 2 (interleukin-2 and interleukin-4) are assayed in blood serum.
