The present invention relates to communication technologies and discloses a Media Gateway (MGW), a Media Gateway Control Function (MGCF), and a multimedia telephone interworking method and system to adjust the communication quality dynamically in the process of interworking between the Multimedia Telephony Service over IMS (MTSI) and the Circuit Switched (CS) multimedia telephony service. The multimedia telephone interworking method is applied in a scenario of interworking between the MTSI and the CS multimedia telephony service, and includes: the MGW receives quality information sent from an MTSI terminal; and the MGW adjusts communication quality dynamically according to the quality information. The present invention is applicable to multimedia telephone interworking and improves the communication quality of multimedia telephone interworking.
