A chair 1 comprises a supporting frame, a seat portion 3 for supporting an occupant and a back portion 4 for supporting the back of a seated occupant, the supporting frame 2 comprises a leg structure on either side of the seat portion 5 wherein the leg structure comprises a continuous floor rail extending from the front of the leg structure to the rear of the leg structure. The continuous floor rail may comprise pivot points to allow the occupant move the chair from a substantially vertical position to a reclined backward position or a forward leaning position and may comprise a middle section 7, a front section 8 and a rear section 9, such that the continuous floor rail curves upwards at the front and back. The floor rail may be angled upward at the end by 20° at the rear section, and 10° at the front section. |
