OPTICAL DEVICE HAVING A CONTINUOUS-CROWN-SHAPED PIEZOELECTRICALLY ACTUATED DEFORMABLE DIAPHRAGM

The device has a deformable membrane (2) formed of a central zone (2.1). A piezoelectric actuation unit (5) circulates fluid (4) soliciting the membrane in a middle zone (2.2) between an anchorage zone (2.3) and the central zone. The piezoelectric actuation unit is anchored on the middle zone of the membrane. The piezoelectric actuation unit is contracted or extended radially during actuation so as to generate circulation of the fluid from the middle zone to the central zone or vice versa for deforming the central zone with respect to its rest position. The fluid soliciting the membrane is liquid selected from propylene carbonate, water, refractive index fluid, optical oil and ionic liquid or gas chosen from air, nitrogen and helium. The actuation unit is provided with a continuous crown made of piezoelectric material.
