The invention relates to methods of curing foamed polyurethanes used for packing joints, cavities, gluing, fixing different materials in erection of building structures such as window and door frames, in repair of bulk articles made of metal, porcelain, plastic and other materials. A method for curing of single-component foamed polyurethanes comprises interaction of liquid single-component polyurethane foam with water as curative. Water is added to liquid single-component polyurethane foam by passing liquid single-component polyurethane foam through vessel with preliminarily frozen water connected to the nozzle of liquid single-component polyurethane foam generator at air temperature above 0º C. A method for the production of articles of polyurethane involves application of lubricants on the mold inner surface, filling the mold with polyurethane through inlet openings, curing thereof in the mold due to interaction with curative and removal of article from the mold. The mold is filled with liquid single-component polyurethane foam, and water as curative is added to liquid single-component polyurethane foam by passing liquid single-component polyurethane foam at air temperature above 0º C through vessel with preliminarily frozen water connected by inlet opening to the nozzle of liquid single-component polyurethane foam generator and by outlet opening to inlet opening of the mold. A device for the embodiment of the method is made as a tube which inlet opening is made as to be connected to the nozzle of the liquid single-component polyurethane foam generator and characterized in that between inlet and outlet openings of the tube a vessel for frozen water is arranged. The invention allows producing articles of foamed polyurethane without air access. |
