PURPOSE: A lighting prevention device of a backward indicator is provided to prevent the generation of accidents by preventing the lighting of the backward indicator when changing gears and to reduce producing costs by simplifying construction of a product. CONSTITUTION: A stationary magnet(20) is attached to a transmission lever(10). A cylinder(30) is installed at the location corresponding to the stationary magnet. A piston(40) is included inside the cylinder. The piston reciprocates by a spring(50) and the stationary magnet. The piston is composed of material having magnetic force. The polarity of the piston is different with the stationary magnet. The stationary magnet forms a plurality of attachment units attached to a body unit of the transmission lever. A straight line unit is placed at the opposite side of the plurality of attachment units.
