INFLUENZA VIRUS CAPABLE OF INFECTING CAT AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: An influenza virus with infectivity to Felis catus is provided to effectively detect anti-influenza virus H3N2 antibody in a sample. CONSTITUTION: An influenza virus is A/feline/Korea/01/2010 (H3N2)(deposit number KCTC 11849BP), A/canine/Korea/01/07 (H3N2) (deposit number KCTC 11205BP), A/canine/Korea/02/07 (H3N2) (deposit number KCTC 11206BP), or A/canine/Korea/03/07 (H3N2) (deposit number KCTC 11207BP). A method for detecting anti-cat influenza virus H3N2 antibody in a sample isolated from Felis catus comprises: a step of contacting the H3N2 antigen with the sample; a step of detecting the presence of a complex of cat influenza virus H3N2 antigen and anti-cat influenza virus H3N2 antigen; and a step of determining the sample is anti-cat influenza virus H3N2 antigen in case of the presence of the complex.
