PURPOSE: A backlight assembly and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to have a micro pattern which is directly transferred on a retroreflective optical sheet, thereby minimizing light loss. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(130) guides light from a light source to a light emitting surface. The light guide plate comprises a reflective plate. The reflective plate reflects light to a surface opposite to the light emitting surface. A diffusing plate(140) is formed on a light emitting surface of the light guide plate. The diffusing plate diffuses light. A retroreflective optical sheet(150) is formed on a light emitting surface of the diffusing plate. A micro pattern is transferred on at least one surface of the retroreflective optical sheet. |
