PURPOSE: A printed circuit board and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to check a puncture voltage from a high voltage by controlling an extended length of a protective insulator. CONSTITUTION: A printed circuit board(1) comprises a base substrate(100) and a protective insulator(200). The base substrate corresponds to an original material for the printed circuit board. The base substrate comprises a first metal layer(120), an insulator(140), and a second metal layer(160). The first metal layer, the insulator, and the second metal layer are successively deposited. The first and second metal layers can be composed of one of metal including copper, aluminum, iron, and nickel, etc. The protective insulator is formed on one or more side of the first and second metal layers.
