PURPOSE: A method for writing data on a NOR flash memory is provided to install a software switch, thereby performing a erase suspend/resume function of the NOR flash on the Linux OS(Operating System). CONSTITUTION: JFFS2(Journalling Flash File System, version 2) is installed on the Linux OS. A NOR flash memory is connected to the Linux OS. An erase suspend/resume device and a data block are installed in the NOR flash memory. JFFS2 data is saved in the data block of the NOR flash memory through the Linux OS. When the Linux OS writes a data byte in the NOR flash memory, the JFFS2 data must be deleted through the erase suspend/resume device so that a writing operation to the data block of the data byte is performed(S6).
