PURPOSE: An image creation apparatus is provided to eliminate non-electrification section of an image carrier in a developing unit by using the developing unit of a connecting method. CONSTITUTION: A control unit rotates a developing unit(41) by controlling a nip separation unit(50) in a standby state. The control unit separates a developing roller(43) from an image carrier(33) by rotating the developing unit. When a print command is received, the control unit rotates the developing roller and the image carrier. The control unit rotates the image carrier around an electrified body(34) by controlling the nip separation unit. The control unit controls the connection state of the image carrier in a rotation state with the developing roller.
