FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of oil-water mix into phase rich in oil and phase rich in water using linearly configured separator. Proposed device comprises mix feed tube, elongated separator including inlet, whirlwinding chamber, central separation chamber, and outlet, discharge tubes for both aforesaid phases. Said whirlwinding chamber incorporates whirlwinding element. Proposed method comprises additionally: a) feeding extra amount of oil-water mix tangentially or axially into whirlwinding chamber or central separation chamber, or b) adjusting whirlwinding element to control vortex rotation, or combination thereof. ^ EFFECT: higher separation efficiency. ^ 12 cl, 9 dwg |
