METHOD OF CORRECTING POSITION OF UPPER JAW AND LAVEOLAR PROCESS FRAGMENTS IN PATIENTS WITH CLEFT LIP AND PALATE AT AGE FROM BIRTH TO 3 YEARS

FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, dentistry, namely to orthodontics, and is intended for normalisation of position of upper jaw and alveolar process fragments in children with cleft lip and palate at age from birth to 3 years. An impression of upper jaw is made. On the basis of the impression 3-4 detachable plaster models of jaw are made with gradual movement of jaw fragments with step not longer than 2 mm. Obtained models are used to make respective quantity of correcting mouthpieces. Mouthpieces are used for successive wearing with 1-2 week interval. ^ EFFECT: method makes it possible to create conditions for carrying out surgical operation due to gradual installation of jaw fragments into correct position. ^ 22 dwg
