PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same are provided to enable a user to watch a 3D image from both front and rear side of the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A transparent display unit displays a 3D image on the front side(151c) and the rear side(151d) of the display unit. A control unit controls the operation related to the marked 3D image. If a command for reversing the 3D image to right and left side is inputted, the control unit reverses the 3D image on the corresponding side.
