FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a seismic cable and a method of arranging a group of hydrophones in the seismic cable. The hydrophones in the group are distributed irregularly on the length of the cable in order to reduce the effect of the wash of waves due to bending of the cable and hydrodynamic noise on response of the group of hydrophones. Irregular distribution can be obtained in form of pseudorandom deviations of real positions of hydrophones from the nominal uniform distribution of hydrophones. ^ EFFECT: high accuracy of prospecting on water bodies owing to elimination of the effect of pressure fluctuation on group response and high signal-to-noise ratio. ^ 10 cl, 5 dwg |
