<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber and a fiber assembly with extremely excellent property for deep coloring and fastness in the dyeing at a normal pressure environment which can form a fabric with light weight and opacity as well as good feeling, bulkiness, swollen touch, high tension and sturdiness. <P>SOLUTION: A fiber has a multi-lobe cross section and is made of polyester resin. The polyester resin is a copolymer consisting of dicarboxylic acid component and glycol component, in which 80 mol% or more of the dicarboxylic acid component is terephthalic acid and/or its ester-forming derivatives and 4.0 to 12.0 mol% thereof is cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid and/or its ester-forming derivatives and 2.0 to 8.0 mol% thereof is adipic acid and/or its ester-forming derivatives.
