AIR-POWERED FILTER APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter apparatus which provides better water circulation within an aquarium.

SOLUTION: A filter includes a filter housing 12 having a spillway 38 and a pneumatic intake assembly 16. The filter housing is configured to internally mount to the aquarium 20. The filter housing has a first chamber 30 and a second chamber 32 oriented side-by-side such that water flows in a generally horizontal direction through a filter cartridge 14 positioned between the first and second chambers.
