<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of optimally overwriting a setting of a paper feed stage based on paper information of a print job during printing without interrupting the job, while taking account of paper information items of other paper feed stages before an overwriting process of the paper feed stage. <P>SOLUTION: When performing an image formation on sheets set on a plurality of paper feed stages according to paper information of a paper feed stage instructed by a print job and a job ticket, the image forming apparatus compares the paper information to the paper feed stage which is instructed by the job ticket, with paper information items set on the plurality of paper feed stages. The image forming apparatus temporarily holds a paper feed stage of which set paper information is accorded with the paper information to the instructed paper feed stage, as the paper feed stage to which a change of the sheets are unnecessary. Out of the paper feed stages that are different from the temporarily held paper feed stage, as for paper feed stages in which sheets with paper size accorded with the paper size of the instructed paper information are set, the image forming apparatus overwrites the paper information with the instructed paper information. To the paper feed stage that has been overwritten with the instructed paper information, the image forming apparatus performs a display for changing the sheets to the ones of the instructed paper information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
