OPTICAL SCANNER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner that provides precise angle information irrespective of change in environment.

SOLUTION: An optical scanner includes: a light source; a MEMS mirror 26 that deflects a light beam emitted from the light source; an imaging element that forms a linear image from the light beam emitted from the light source on the MEMS mirror 26; a scanning lens that forms an image from the light beam deflected by the MEMS mirror 26 on a scanned surface; and light receiving elements 31 that detect the light beam deflected by the MEMS mirror 26. The light receiving elements 31 are provided on both ends of the swing center of the MEMS mirror 26.
