<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, in a conventional split nut, a fastening operation is troublesome, therefore, it is difficult to obtain a sufficient fastening force, it takes a longer time for fastening a large number of nuts, thus causing the lowering of work efficiency, furthermore, it is necessary to fasten the nut from the tip of a bolt up to a fastening start point from rotation, it takes a longer time for fastening the nut, and accordingly the work efficiency is lowered. <P>SOLUTION: This split nut is constituted in such a manner that the nut is formed of a pair of split nut pieces, a hinge which can connect the pair of split nut pieces so as to be openable and closable is arranged at the fixing end of one end, both the split nut pieces are properly coupled to both free ends of the other end which is opened and closed by the hinge, and the split nut pieces are integrated.
