<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine muffler and an engine working machine equipped with the same capable of dropping the exhaust gas temperature using a simple structure without increasing the muffler dimensions. <P>SOLUTION: The muffler 11 includes a first expansion chamber 16 whereto the exhaust gas flows in from an engine 3 and a second expansion chamber 18 adjoining to the first expansion chamber 16 with a partitioning wall 14 interposed and put in communication with the first expansion chamber 16 through a communication passage 20 formed in the partitioning wall 14 where catalyst 19 is installed, wherein the second expansion chamber 18 is furnished with a level difference such that the peripheral edge part 23 of the side face 22 facing the partitioning wall 14 approaches the partitioning wall 14 with respect to the central part 24 of the side face 22, and the peripheral edge part 23 is furnished with a plurality of discharge ports 17 through which the exhaust gas having flowed into the second expansion chamber 18 is discharged to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
