<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular indoor lighting lamp lens which makes dimensional control easy and has no risk of damaging a ceiling. <P>SOLUTION: In a method of forming a mold for the indoor lighting lamp lens provided with a cavity formed in the shape of a lens 10 of which the entire surface becomes a styling design part, the lens 10 has a predetermined thickness and a rib 10B on the back surface, and a gate 50 is provided for the rib 10B and the thickness. A molten resin is injected into in the cavity of the mold from the gate 50. A cutting pin 60 of the same width with the width of the gate 50 is inserted into the gate 50 at the root of the rib 10B and the gate 50 after injection is completed to separate the rib 10B from the gate 50.
