PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system which is designed in such a way that, when plural steps of image processing are executed by an image processing server on target image data to be processed which has been transmitted from an image formation device, the result of one step of image processing is not affected by subsequent steps of image processing.

SOLUTION: An image formation device 1 acquires from each image processing server area information indicating image processing areas and determines whether or not any image processing area overlaps among image processing servers 21-23. If an overlap is found, image processing servers in low priority as determined according to a preset priority of image processing by image processing servers are instructed to correct their image processing areas, and instructions for correcting image processing areas are repeated until it is determined that there is no overlapping image processing area. Image processing areas which have been determined not to be overlapped are notified to each image processing server, and each server executes image processing based on the determined image processing area thus notified thereto.
