<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the seal structure of a joint surface where an oil path is opened, and to prevent leakage of oil to the outside of a chain case from through-holes for fastening bolts of the chain case adjacent to the oil path, in the fixing structure of the chain case for an engine wherein the chain case is connected to an engine body part by the fastening bolts which penetrate the through-holes, and whose tip ends are fastened to the screw holes. <P>SOLUTION: A first joint surface (35) of a boss part (36) of the chain case (10) is directly brought into contact with a second joint surface (39) of a block (38), while, a groove part (51) that makes the inner space (50) of the through-hole (46) communicate with the inner space (9) of the chain case (10), is formed on at least one of the first joint surface (35) and second joint surface (39). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
