<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval system capable of presenting, to a user, a candidate of a retrieval keyword with which desired information can be retrieved without using a dictionary holding relation between words, log information in which a retrieval keyword input by a user and a reference document are recorded, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An information retrieval system comprises a document database storing retrieval target document data, and a category database storing category information including information on category classification by clustering analysis for the retrieval target document data. Also, the information retrieval system retrieves document data from the document database based on a retrieval condition including a retrieval keyword input by a user, determines which of the categories the retrieved document data belongs to, extracts a keyword candidate from a category to which the retrieved document data is determined to belong or document data in the category, and presents the extracted keyword candidate to the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
