<p>Provided is a mobile information terminal, wherein operability is improved when starting up a desired application software package in an application start-up locked state. The mobile information terminal is composed of: an application storage unit (102) for retaining a plurality of application software packages (103) therein; an application start-up locking unit (111) for switching the mobile information terminal to an application start-up locked state on the basis of a lock-start operation, to invalidate any application start-up operation; an unlocking screen displaying unit (112) for displaying a lock-unlocking screen (30) upon which is arranged a code input box (31) for inputting an unlocking code; a code extraction unit (113) for extracting a lock-unlocking code and an application specifying code from a series of character strings inputted into the code input box (31) as an unlocking code; a code comparison unit (115) for comparing the lock-unlocking code and a registered code; and a lock-unlocking unit (116) for unlocking the application start-up locked state when the lock-unlocking code matches the registered code, and starting up one of the application software packages on the basis of the application specifying code.</p> |
